When Resideo begins trading on the NYSE Oct. 29 under the symbol, “REZI”, current Honeywell shareholders will receive a 6-to-1 stock dividend as long as they were to Honeywell’s share-owners of record by Oct. 16, 2018.

Verizon launched its first 5G trial in four U.S. cities: Houston, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, and Sacramento. The company says it has started offering installations of its Verizon 5G Home broadband service today and named Houston resident Clayton Harris as “the first 5G customer in the world.”

Johnson Controls Makes Second Grab for Residential Market

Late last year, Johnson Controls revealed it partnered with Microsoft to create a sleek Cortana-powered smart thermostat called GLAS. The thermostat is unlike any other on the market because it features a translucent OLED touchscreen display. Unfortunately, the display limits the application to dark hallways and was largely panned by reviewers. Maybe buying LUX will give them the entry point into the residential smart home they are looking for.
